Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 2 released - November 19, 2005
Simple Groupware 0.2 beta 2 is now available. With a new calendar system you can manage all kinds of (recurring) events. Using a revolutionary new view that combines a list of appointments with a day-/week-/month-view makes managing appointments much easier. Additionally there is a new module which allows you to integrate all kinds of news directly into Simple Groupware by using the power of RSS-feeds. Non ISO-8859-x languages can now be used with Simple Groupware featuring full UTF-8 support.
New features/changes (very short): Added complete new calendar system, RSS-reader, fixes for cut/copy/paste, bug fixes.

This release can be used in a production environment but there will be only limited upgrade methods to the next release

- Added complete new calendar functionality containing day/week/month views plus full support for recurring events
- Switched to UTF-8 for handling any kind of unicode data. Non ISO-8859-x languages can now be used with Simple Groupware.
- Added graphical user interface for the client (using php-gtk)
- Added new RSS module. All kinds of rss-feeds can now be integrated.
Bugs:
- Fixed a lot of bugs, mainly for doing copy/paste actions, folder storage, Firefox 1.5 compatibility
Other changes:
- Changed packaging: Now there is only one package containing all languages and the development edition
- Removed magic_quotes requirement in setup
- Removed Html null byte vulnerability. All users get save and secure Html presented in the output.
