Simple Groupware 0.408 rc1 released - May 17, 2008
New keyboard shortcuts were added for folder operations and changing folder permissions. Also usability was improved by adding auto-focus for the first element of a form in new or edit views. The setup was extended to detect missing default libraries like SimpleXML or JSON. Fixes were applied to using external mail clients, detecting PostgreSQL versions and changing the default theme or week start in setup settings.
The tests for the release are not yet finished, so this release is marked as rc.

Simple Groupware 0.407 beta released - May 12, 2008
A default group for self registered users was added, together with buttons for resizing select boxes. Also automatic creation for the trash folder in IMAP was implemented and some more colors were added to merged folders. Fixes were applied to the web file browser, missing translations and compatibility with Cyrus IMAP.

Simple Groupware 0.406 beta released - April 24, 2008
Ajax refresh for select boxes in new/edit views was implemented (very useful when creating new items in popups). Also added a new code editor called CodePress and expanded sgsML with the feature to view a field in multiple tabs. The doubleclick event in the "Display" view was changed to open the details view and HTML export for "htmlarea" and "wikiarea" was modified to show rendered HTML.

Simple Groupware 0.405 beta released - April 13, 2008
Using a double-click to open an asset in a special view was implemented together with a workaround for using the chat module in IE7. Also the session name (in the cookie) can now be configured in setup settings. The setup was changed to show the right error message when the server is still running PHP4.

Simple Groupware 0.404 beta released - April 6, 2008
A new HTML export with vertical layout was added together with the "last modified by" field. Fixes were applied to renaming non-empty folders and sorting mails in Cyrus IMAP.

Simple Groupware 0.403 beta released - March 24, 2008
The requirement for the "display_error" setting was re-added to the setup procedure in order to avoid blank screens caused by memory limit exceptions. A fix was applied to importing items from Funambol SyncML Server.

Simple Groupware 0.402 beta released - March 17, 2008
Compatibility was added for Firefox 3 as well as auto-complete for PostgreSQL in the SQL console. OpenSearch integration was implemented for Firefox and IE. A new option was added to export data from the SQL console. Components were updated to the latest version (Smarty, TinyMCE, Net_SMTP, PEAR, ImageMagick). Fixes were applied to Ajax calls in PHP 5.1, saving setup settings, and running the setup with smaller memory limits.

Simple Groupware 0.401 beta released - March 12, 2008
A new SQL console was added, including auto-complete functionality for tables, columns and databases in MySQL. The projects module was expanded with a calendar view. An example for including custom PHP code in sgsML was added together with an option to hide some tabs in multi-tab views.

Simple Groupware 0.400 beta released - March 6, 2008
This release contains a lot of great new features. You can now merge folders permanently in the view: e.g. you can always show calendars for holidays, business meetings and personal appointments together in the same view (same for contacts, tasks, etc.). There are new translations for Italian and Turkish. The tree can now detect subfolders and hide the "+" automatically. Memory usage was optimized for backup and restore. And finally compatibility for PostgreSQL 8.3.x and Funambol v6.5 SyncML server was added.
The code was switched to PHP5 including nice features like auto class loaders, SimpleXML and a new AJAX / JSON framework, making the code cleaner and speeding up folder operations and lookups. Some fixes were applied to error handling in the PHP/Java Bridge, Wiki rendering and exporting Unicode data.

Simple Groupware 0.321 released - January 1, 2008
This is the last release which is compatible to PHP 4.x.
Fixes were applied to missing ids in Simple Spreadsheet and the calendar component, overtaking settings when upgrading and using the search plugin for Firefox.
